Active since 2022 under a variety of names, Se Habla Español has performed alongside LA Timpa, By Storm, Brandon Lewis and the Messthetics, Akchamel, W.I.T.C.H., and Jon Dietrich (of Deerhoof) in venues ranging from art museums to dive bars throughout the Southwestern United States. Formed by US/MX border artist Saul Millan, the ensemble reflects his intersectional background, crafting new soundscapes that exist without erasing proximity—embracing hybridity to translate his unique "metro-xeric" environment into sound and song. Saul has collaborated on a multitude of projects, recording with Slauson Malone 1, Trees Speak, Daniela Solís, JPERIOD, Josh Kun, Santiago Mijares, and the Paolo Soleri/Arcosanti Archive.
